High School Jazz Band
This course is an advanced, hands-on, performance ensemble class and is open by audition to current participants in the RCHS Band Program. It is a graded, one-year, one-credit course with specific instrumentation. Because it is based on a continuous curriculum and ensemble balance, jazz students must remain in the class for both fall and spring semesters.
Jazz Band members are expected to develop a high degree of proficiency as instrmentalists, so though it is not required, it is strongly recommended that students be enrolled in private lessons throughout the year.
